Newton got bonked by one. Tim Cook charges $1,200 for one. But we found Apple deals that won't require a second mortgage.
Why buy Apple? That's what Newton said before one bonked his head. And honestly, I don't think they're worth the cider to squeeze when it comes to their full-priced offerings. Cupertino's finest have mastered the art of charging premium prices for what is, let's be real, sparkling water with a logo.
But here's the thing — you don't have to pay full price. You never have to pay full price. That's basically the first commandment of BuyGetRewards.
Apple themselves will barely sneeze in the direction of a sale. Their idea of a "deal" is throwing in a gift card with your purchase — oh wow, I get to spend MORE money at your store, how generous. Thanks Tim, really feeling the love.
But the retailers? The retailers are a different beast entirely. They're out here slashing prices like Edward Scissorhands in a hedge maze.
Right now we're seeing Apple Watches discounted not 10, not 20, not 30 — rather somewhere deliciously in between — percent off. The Series 11 at these prices is genuinely hard to argue against, even for the Apple skeptics among us (myself included, depending on the day and my credit card statement).
AirPods Pro 2 have been hovering around $169-189 lately, which is a solid $60-80 off retail. At that price, the noise cancellation alone is worth it — especially if you, like me, have neighbors who think 11 PM is the perfect time to practice their DJ set.
Here's where it gets fun. Take that already-discounted Apple Watch, run it through a cashback portal for another 3-5%, pay with a card that gives you 5x on the category, and maybe — just maybe — snag a discounted gift card beforehand. Suddenly you're paying 40% less than the sucker who walked into the Apple Store and got upsold on AppleCare.
That sucker used to be me, by the way. We all start somewhere.
Apple makes great products wrapped in absurd pricing. Your job isn't to boycott them — it's to outsmart the pricing. And right now, the deals are genuinely good enough to pull the trigger. Just don't pay retail. Ever. I cannot stress this enough. Friends don't let friends pay MSRP for Apple products.
